چکیده
Extended Reality (XR) is the umbrella term to address Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed interfaces. XR interfaces also enables natural intuitive interaction with secondary driving tasks like maps, music, calls so on without need take eyes off road. This work evaluates ISO 9241 pointing task in analyzes ease of interaction, physical, mental efforts required augmented mixed reality With fully automated vehicles becoming an everyday still some research years away, drivers a semi-automated vehicle must be prepared intervene upon Take Over Request. In such cases, human may not have full manual control throughout its operation but interfere as when perform passive supervision other times. this paper, we evaluate impacts using assisting taking over requests, during first second controlling vehicles. A prototype simulated semi-autonomous assistance system developed similar AR MR. User studies were performed for comparative analysis displays/interfaces based response time requests. both Pointing Task automotive task, interface took significantly less than MR terms performance. Participants reported requirement physical effort screen-based HoloLens interface.

We report on our on-going effort to build an adaptive driver support system, Driver AdvocateTM, merging various AI techniques, in particular, agents, ontology, production systems and machine learning technologies. The goal of DA is to help drivers have a safer, more enjoyable, and more productive driving experience, by managing their attention and workload. This paper describes the overall arch...
متن کاملA flexible Architecture for Driver Assistance
To reduce the number of traffic accidents and to increase the drivers comfort, the thought of designing driver assistance systems rose in the past years. Principal problems are caused by having a moving observer (ego motion) in predominantly natural surroundings. In this paper we present a solution for a flexible architecture for a driver assistance system. The architecture can be subdivided in...

Introduction. The problems encountered in building a driver assistance system are numerous. The collection of information about real environment by sensors is erroneous and incomplete. When the sensors are mounted on a moving observer it is difficult to find out whether a detected motion was caused by ego-motion or by an independent object moving. The collected data can be analyzed by several a...

In the past four Years, Road Traffic Injuries (RTI) ranked fourth among the leading cause of death. Nearly 1.3 million people die every year on the world’s roads and 20 to 50 million people suffer non-fatal injuries, with many sustaining a disability as a result of their injury. However, active safety systems like ABS (Anti−lock Braking System) and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) offer possi...
